Screven Christian Academy is governed by a Board of Directors that establish the policies and procedures of the school. The Board is responsible for hiring and evaluating the Head of School, determining the goals and objectives that support the mission and vision of the school, and setting the expectations and standards of the school. The Board is responsible for the finances of the school, including setting the annual budget, setting tuition rates and other fees, and approving expenditures. The Board also establishes committees to assist the Board and Administration in carrying out the duties of the school. The Board charges the Head of School with being responsible for the daily operations of the school and for carrying out the policies established. The Board typically meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the SCA Gym. Any person wishing to address the board should contact the Head of School. The request will be sent to the Chairman of the Board for a determination in order to be added to the agenda for public participation.
