On Valentine’s Day, English language arts classes for sixth grade through 11th grade participated in speed dating with books. Each student filled out a list of genres that he or she likes. Then, students filled out a form, describing all of the reasons that their favorite books should be something that everyone reads! They took turns at a long table, being the person in search of a book and being the “book” itself. In the process, students were able to decide if they wanted to read a book that another student found very interesting. Class ended with a raffle of books that students would really like to read, with one student in each class, winning a copy of the book that they asked for.💙📚💚
